About the Program​

Noora Health’s HIV/AIDS program in Punjab, in collaboration with NACO and PSACS (Punjab State Aids Control Society) which is the Sate's HIV/AIDS monitoring body for NACO (National Aids Control Organization) emphasises improving medication adherence and the quality of life of PLHIVs (People living with HIV)
The program provides tailored educational resources and support systems designed to help patients maintain their treatment regimen and manage their health effectively.​

Challenge

Integration with Existing Systems – Ensuring seamless collaboration with local healthcare providers and PSACS to enhance service delivery.
Privacy & Mental Health – Protecting patient confidentiality while addressing mental health challenges faced by PLHIV.
Addressing High-Risk Behaviors – Reducing stigma and risky behaviors through behavioral change strategies and education.​

Design Approach
​
The program adopted an evidence-based, community-centered approach to address medication adherence, stigma, and mental health. Key components included:
- Culturally relevant, accessible educational materials to improve treatment literacy.
- Engagement with high-risk groups (sex workers, injecting drug users) to encourage preventive behaviors and early treatment.
- Collaboration with PSACS and community stakeholders to ensure smooth program integration.
- Mental health and counseling support to enhance treatment adherence and emotional well-being.

My Role
​
As a Medical Content Manager, I:
- Developed and contextualized educational materials to improve treatment adherence and stigma reduction.
- Interacted with high-risk groups and community stakeholders to ensure effective outreach and engagement.
- Collaborated with PSACS to align content with state-level HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment strategies.
- Integrated mental health support into educational resources to address psychosocial challenges faced by PLHIV.
- Refined content based on field feedback, ensuring practicality and cultural sensitivity.
- This initiative played a crucial role in enhancing HIV care, reducing stigma, and improving patient outcomes across Punjab.
